Lasin is 100% correct. The West Shore Inn used to be a guaranteed good meal. No longer. The servers were more concerned with making each other laugh than helping customers. After our order was taken, the server seemed to disappear. I understand that if a place is really crowded sometimes your server vanishes. This was not the case this time. My last meal was awful. The steak was tough and fatty. My wife ordered pasta. It was not served hot. The bread was small and tasted like it had been left on a counter since 6AM. I don't mind paying high prices for good food and service, but I do mind paying for nothing. - Is follow up to post by lasin ...
This place used to be a "Where to go on Staten Island," kind of place. The food used to be excellent and the prices were great, but someone bought the place and thought they were serving gold. The prices skyrocketed. Not worth the money. Dine elsewhere. -- 4/12/2003 1:38:15 PM
